Now the fun starts - selecting a few "new" things for baby (let's face it, she'll be getting a lot of hand-me-downs) and finding the right name. Decisions we've made so far (okay I've made):
- Baby's signature color will be PINK. Addie's signature color is purple, and this will be an important distinction to aid in her identity development. (No, honey your toothbrush is the pink one.)
- Baby will look like mom. Yes, I'm making this decision - from the brown hair to the Siri shapped feet.
- Baby will be an excellent sleeper, mostly due to big sister tiring her out.
Now on to the name decision. Very important. Right now I'm trying to steer away from all of our "runner up" name choices from Addison. I really want this to be a name we've chosen specifically for baby. Addie likes to give her input on the names too. Her top (independant) picks are Tootie (from Yo Gabba Gabba!) and Oliva. Last night at bed time I started asking Addie if she liked any of Mom's favorite names-
Do you like the name 'Charlotte'? Yes
Do you like the name 'Katelyn'? Yes
(Reaches over and taps my belly) Baby Charlotte.
Do you think we could call her 'Charlie' for short? No. Baby Charlotte.
MitMit Family Note: The above names do not represent our "choice" or "only choices" for baby names. As such, we kindly ask that you not get your hopes up, start calling the baby by either name, or lobby in favor of influencing name decision. To be as direct as possible, comments such as "What? We thought you were planning to name the baby Charlotte" are not allowed. Thanks for your support.
