Good night boobies

Charlotte: weaned from boob approx 1 year, weaned from nuk approx 5 mo.

Last night at bedtime, Charlotte informed me that the little nubbies on her special blanket were "boobies". Then instead of singing our 'good night Charlotte' song, she insisted we sing 'good night boobies'. Oh my.

When it rains

It pours. Recap of previous week:
- fever
- stomach bug (yes, more vomit)
- coxsackie virus (HFM)
- Pinkeye (2 girls)
- allergic reaction (source unknown) with hives
- colds (2 girls)

Unless noted above, this was all Charlie.

2012 Lessons - #1

Lesson learned. Never create a blog post grateful for your family's health. Your first child will end up with the 5 day puke-machine (and the other kind too) bug immediately. Your second child will get it the following week when first child is finally well enough to go back to school. And then you will get it the third week. Happy January. Resolution #1: be sure that next year's retrospective post won't be tempting fate in a way that ends up with lots of vomit.

2011 Year Review

Well, 2011 has come and gone in the blink of an eye. It was a wonderful year with many blessings and milestones. Here are the top 11 for the MitMit household, in no particular order:
1. Addie's Dora/cars 3rd birthday party & Charlotte's pinklicious 1st birthday party
2. Our 10 year wedding anniversary -celebrated with relaxing weekend away
3. Swimming lessons - Addison by herself and Charlotte with dad
4. Joined a wonderful church community (found a home at last!)
5. Oct trip to Florida/Alabama to visit family and friends
6. September vacation with family on the north shore
7. Aunt Anne weekend in Madison
8. Smith cabin
9. Healthy family!
10. Charlotte learning to walk (at last!)
11. The arrival of Max, our elf!
