Every once in a while Addie gets an idea (usually from who-knows-where) and it sticks. And i mean a real idea - real specific and repeatedly mentioned - you know, something she's really thinking about. Today's art project is just that: cookie-pretzel. Dauntingly impossible and yet insisted on. It started a couple dats back on our drive home from school and cookie-pretzel was requested. When I tried to get some clarification on whether cookie-pretzel tasted more like a cookie or a pretzel, here's how it went--
Addie: No no no no. It's pink and purple and blue and white, and it has sprinkles, lots of sprinkles!
Me: does it taste like cookies or pretzels?
Addie: it's pink and purple and blue and white with sprinkles! (with a "weren't you listening I just said this, mom!" tone)
Me: what does it taste like?
Addie: blueberries
(well duh - that makes sense.)
A aforementioned cookie-pretzel was requested again on Sat and this morning. Each time repeating the description without variance.
So, I'm off to the store to get some blueberries and cookie mix. Current options are: (1) pretzel mix with added blueberries and colored frosting and (2) sugar cookies with blueberry juice and bits shaped like pretzels with colored frosting. The MitMit house will need a good dose of luck to pull this off!
