Toddler Couture

In celebration of toddler decision making, with minimal consequences, we present 'Dress Yourself Sundays.' Enjoy! This week features the neon green "Moo!" shirt, navy track pants, bee rain boots, and over sized sunglasses. Well coordinated and very practical for lazy November weekends.

Toddler Winter Fashion

For the fashionable toddler, consider this alternative to winter boots. Stylish? Yes, but they may not survive the first snow.

Annoyed pregnant woman - chocolate donations encouraged!

So this is going to be one of those blog posts where I vent and make a list about all the things I'm annoyed about. And for those of you not in-the-know yet, surprise! I'm pregnant. And probably a little crabby. Maybe a lot crabby. Read it or not - your choice.

Things which are REALLY annoying me:
  1. A certain member of the Mit Mit household has started making an oh-thank-god-boy-that-feels-better sigh after every time he farts. Ohh-Ahhhhhhh. Every. time. While I'm sorry that something appears to not be feeling "right", next time can we try a simple "excuse me" instead?
  2. Taking off your shoes 2 minutes into our 45 minute commute, chucking them (read: throwing with force and purpose) on to the floor, and proceeding to whine the rest of the car ride "Shooooooes! Noooooooo!!!" Next time, let's just keep the shoes on and keep everyone happy.
  3. Lack of sleep. It's only going to get worse. Night feedings and diapers and crying ohmy! Annoying sleep robbers (adding up to a couple hours a night): toddler who seems to have forgotten how to put herself back to sleep, stubborn back-sleeping-snoring husband, toddler (now sleeping in our bed because just too tired to fight her back into her own bed) who has decided that ideal wake-up play time (read: play on Mom, like jungle gym) is no later than 4:45am. Looking forward to all the sleep I'll be missing in a few months, I should be entitled to a few free "passes" here. I'll be cashing in at least one tonight.

More coming later I'm sure. It's just one of those days.

Here's our Princess

Halloween Monkey

So I promised some princess Leia pictures, but those are still in the works. Instead I offer two great pictures of our little monkey.

Just to recap on the costume wearing and days in case anyone is confused:
Fri (Halloween parade at BSC) - Princess Leia
Sat (Halloween trick-or-treating) - Monkey
Sun (just because) - Monkey

Need for two costumes was due to Addison's selection of the extremely warm monkey costume* and the indoor parade. Leia costume was the "cooler" alternative. Additional Monkey costume wearing is simply attributable to toddler factor. Wore the monkey nearly all day Sat after waking up from nap, out to Costco and trick-or-treating. Monkey costume made a repeat appearance on Sunday for Grandma & Grandpa Thompson who missed out seeing Addie on Halloween.

*Monkey costume - Designed like a snowsuit. Thanks Old Navy for thinking of all your MN trick-or-treaters who usually end up in indistinguishable costumes due to the obstructing winter coat.
