Addie: pickle pants!
Addie & Charlotte simultaneously burst into laughter. As in this-is-really-funny laughter.

Charlotte: knock knock
Me: who's there?
Charlotte: pickle BANANA pants!
Again, repeat of nearly tears running down cheeks laughter.

Good night boobies

Charlotte: weaned from boob approx 1 year, weaned from nuk approx 5 mo.

Last night at bedtime, Charlotte informed me that the little nubbies on her special blanket were "boobies". Then instead of singing our 'good night Charlotte' song, she insisted we sing 'good night boobies'. Oh my.

When it rains

It pours. Recap of previous week:
- fever
- stomach bug (yes, more vomit)
- coxsackie virus (HFM)
- Pinkeye (2 girls)
- allergic reaction (source unknown) with hives
- colds (2 girls)

2012 Lessons - #1

Lesson learned. Never create a blog post grateful for your family's health. Your first child will end up with the 5 day puke-machine (and the other kind too) bug immediately. Your second child will get it the following week when first child is finally well enough to go back to school. And then you will get it the third week. Happy January. Resolution #1: be sure that next year's retrospective post won't be tempting fate in a way that ends up with lots of vomit.
